FILM MARKETING
Title Treatments
Overview
As part of Legendary Entertainment’s creative marketing team, I developed title treatments, key art, and sales collateral for projects showcased at international film festivals and presented to distributers, partners and talent. Whether selling a completed project, or getting a concept green-lit, these materials needed to convey cinematic tone and commercial potential.
Approach
Working from directly from scripts and using limited resources, I explored diverse typographic and visual treatments. I conducted extensive image research and artworking to develop assets that positioned projects strategically for industry buyers and partners. Deliverables included sales sheets, banners, and presentations tailored to each film’s sales strategy.
Results
Marketing packages were utilized at Cannes and other major festivals, supporting successful sales of multiple projects. By translating narrative tone into compelling visual identities, the designs helped position in-development projects for international, streaming and network markets, ensuring they resonated with buyers and creators alike.
PROJECT ONE
Assistant to the Villain
The Office meets the Princess Bride
A playful adaptation of a bestselling novel where enemies-to-lovers banter collides with high-stakes intrigue in a magical kingdom. The visual languages explored in key art varied from genre bending workplace comedy references, to campy photo composites and more elevated twists on fantasy excess.
PROJECT TWO
MAD
Terribly chic and outrageously dangerous
Set in an opulent Italian seaside town, a cast of outrageously wealthy criminals become entangled in an art heist. The design strategy balanced sleek depictions of affluence with nods to the protagonist’s surreal, fairytale hallucinations. Visuals capture the allure of luxury and the lurking danger beneath, creating a stylish mirage of beauty and corruption.
PROJECT THREE
Moulin
Unyielding courage in the face of tyranny
Moulin is a historical spy thriller tracing the life and sacrifice of Jean Moulin, the French Resistance hero pursued by the notorious Butcher of Lyon. The design strategy draws from wartime propaganda and archival dossiers, while bold lettering and stark visual treatments balance the weight of history with a sense of epic heroism.
PROJECT FOUR
Die My Love
A brutal symphony of love and madness
A dark psychological comedy set in an isolated countryside, where motherhood and desire collide in suffocating domesticity. The design strategy mirrors this unraveling: stripped-down title treatments, claustrophobic and bleak visuals that nod to natal themes and a sense of repression.
PROJECT FIVE
The Surgeon
Precision meets brutal ingenuity
A high-stakes action thriller following a retired surgeon who turns her decades of surgical expertise into a weapon when abducted and forced to operate under duress. The design strategy emphasized her medical precision and lethal skill, using imagery of surgical tools, x-rays, sterile metals, and vivid red accents to reflect the film’s mix of clinical control, explosive violence, and darkly comedic undertones.
