I was commissioned by sportmetal band PYO to create the band logo, album artwork and merch preceeding the release of their debut album Legwork. PYO fuses grindcore ferocity with tongue-in-cheek athletic theatrics, this is reflected in the logo I designed. A nod to classic metal iconography pared back into the language of a sports team, the mark bridges brutality and humor. The album artwork features a distorted figure being consumed by his phone against a bleak backdrop, a metaphor for obsession, exhaustion, and play taken to extremes.
