Overview
This branding project was created for a specialty café and donut shop focused on gourmet donuts, including vegan and gluten-free options, with an emphasis on care, craft, and inclusivity. The visual identity celebrates donuts as the hero while extending into coffee and tea, establishing a welcoming neighborhood spot that feels joyful, artisanal, and unmistakably human.
Approach
The design draws inspiration from risograph printing, mirroring the bakery’s own hands-on, small-batch philosophy through layered, vibrant color, subtle imperfections, and playful texture. Bright overlapping hues form an almost-complete rainbow to reflect the shop’s inclusive values, while a flexible logo system, friendly icons, donut patterns, and charming character elements create a warm, inviting presence across storefront signage and neighborhood-facing touchpoints.
