STORYBOARDING

Cellar Door

Speculative storyboard exercise for an original thriller/horror short film

Overview

Developed as a speculative proof-of-concept, this storyboard sequence follows teen’s attempt to free a captive, resulting in unintended tragedy. The line between victim, villain, and savior is blurred in this demonstration of how character dynamics and horror elements can be visualized before production.

Approach

I began by drafting a narrative framework, then created sequential panels that emphasized atmosphere, mood, and visual rhythm. Grotesque close-ups, moments of sharp action, and ambiguous character motivations create a visual blueprint that focuses on suspenseful pacing and psychological tension.
